Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Trinket Inc. ("Fan Dance", "we") collects when you use the Fan Dance app and fan.dance, why, and the choices you have.

1. What we collect

• Account data — name, email, and sign-in identifiers (including Sign in with Apple or Google), profile details you add, and your role (fan or creator).
• Booking data — the sessions you reserve, session topics you submit, timestamps, and fan dance IDs.
• Payment data — handled by Stripe. We receive transaction status and receipts; we never see or store full card numbers. Creators' payout details are collected by Stripe during onboarding.
• Session recordings — every fan dance call is recorded, watermarked, and stored so we can deliver the verified video of your session and operate the verification service. Both participants are informed and consent by joining the call.
• Identity verification (creators) — creators may be asked to verify identity; verification is performed by our verification partner, and we store the outcome, not your documents.
• Device and usage data — app version, device model, crash reports, and basic usage events that help us keep the Service working.

2. How we use it

• To run the Service: match you into your session, deliver the call, process payment, and release your video.
• To operate verification: confirm a fan dance ID or QR code corresponds to a real, live-recorded session.
• For safety: enforce our Terms, review reported sessions, prevent fraud and abuse.
• To communicate: booking confirmations, session reminders, video-ready notifications, and support replies.
• We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your session recordings to train AI models.

3. Sharing

• With the other participant — your display name and video/audio are visible to the person on your call; the creator can review the session video before release.
• Service providers — payment (Stripe), cloud hosting and video processing, crash reporting, and push notifications — each only receives what it needs.
• Verification lookups — entering a fan dance ID shows that a session took place and its verification status; it does not expose your account details.
• Legal — if required by law or to protect users and the Service.

4. Retention

We keep account and booking data while your account exists. Session recordings are retained so your videos and their verification remain available; if you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons. Because a recording belongs to both participants' sessions, the other participant may retain their copy of a shared call.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK under GDPR and California under CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact hello@fan.dance and we'll respond within the legally required time. You can delete your account as described on the Delete Account page.

6. Children

The Service is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor is using the Service, contact us and we will remove the account.

7. Security and international transfers

Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted, and recordings are watermarked and access-controlled. Data may be processed in the United States and other countries; where required, we use appropriate safeguards for transfers.
